Sponsoring Organization: Artstream Cultural Resources. Artstream provided the administrative support. The team members volunteered most of their time; and several contributed not only their hours, but incurred out-of-pocket expenses.

Our first grant came from the Alaska Humanities Forum which funded, Phase I the research portion of our project; documenting photographic portraits of Northwest Coast dancers attending the biannual Celebration 2004 event in Juneau. Our emphasis, photographing traditional handmade dance regalia while simultaneously gathering interviews with stories relating to the participants and their regalia for the documentary and future publications. We would like to acknowledge and thank Agnes Bellinger, who served as Tradition Bearer; Aldona Jonaitis, Humanities Scholar; and Nora Dauenhauer, evaluator.

Sealaska Heritage Institute
The organizers of Celebration 2004, Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI), with project PR officer Rhonda Mann, announced this documentary project, both in pre-event publicity and throughout the gathering. SHI also provided an area for the crew to set-up a temporary studio tent during the three-day event. Our photographic documentation was shared with the Institute.
